What we use them for and on what basis
To reply to you and manage your booking. If you write to us, sign up for an activity or enquire about the coworking space, we’ll use your details to reply to you and to manage your booking, including sending email reminders. If you provide us with your mobile number, we may contact you via WhatsApp for the same purpose. Legal basis: your request (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR).
News. We will only notify you of new activities by email or WhatsApp if you tick the box ‘I would like La Tesela to notify me of its activities by email or WhatsApp’. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time.
Photos and videos. If, when you sign up, you agree to appear in photos and videos, we may publish images from the event in which you appear; otherwise, we will ensure that you do not appear. Basis: your consent, which you may withdraw by writing to us.
Gender and age. These are optional. We only use them in aggregate form, to understand our audience, and never in conjunction with your name.
Members and co-workers. If you become a member or hire a desk, we store the data necessary for the relationship, membership fees and invoices. Basis: the contract or membership status, and accounting and tax obligations (Article 6.1.c).
Preventing spam. When you submit a form, we store an encrypted record of your connection for 24 hours to prevent mass submissions. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the website (Article 6(1)(f)).
How long do we keep them for?
Messages and registrations are retained for up to one year after the event or the last reply; after that, they are automatically deleted. News updates are retained until you unsubscribe. Members’ and co-workers’ data is retained for the duration of the relationship and for the period required by law for accounting and tax purposes. Backup copies are deleted after 60 days.
Who else sees them?
We do not pass them on or sell them to anyone, unless required to do so by law. The website and email are hosted by IONOS (servers in the European Union), which acts as a data processor. If you contact us via WhatsApp, this service is provided by Meta, which may process data outside the European Union in accordance with the safeguards required by the GDPR.
Minors
If you are registering a child under the age of 14 for an activity, this must be done by their mother, father or guardian, who will also decide on the use of photographs.
Your rights
You can ask us to let you see your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, object to its processing, take it with you or withdraw any consent you have given us. Write to us at hola@latesela.org and we’ll reply within a month. If you feel we haven’t handled your request correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
